You shall see things

"You seek a great fortune, you three who are now in chains. You will find a fortune, though it will not be the fortune that you seek. But first... first you must travel a long and difficult road, a road fraught with peril. Mm-hmm. You shall see thangs, wonderful to tell. You shall see a... a cow... on the roof of a cotton house, ha. And, oh, so many startlements. I cannot tell you how long this road shall be, but fear not the obstacles in your path, for fate has vouch-safed your reward. Though the road may wind, yea, your hearts grow weary, still shall ye follow them, even unto... your salvation" The Blind Seer

Here we go!

Even before I head out I have a weary heart. My heart is the thing I suspected myself of following when I set out to begin. After listening to the wind and rain beat on the window of this hotel room all night, I am feeling a mite worried.

I am starting off after I have eaten breakfast and have taken a shower. Through Astoria I will go and see what this town has to offer. I am going to need the charity and help pf many wonderful people along the way. I hope I can draw this goodness and assistance to me.

I have faith, I have confidence, I am a believer in humanity, in the Lord, in the world, in the Universe.

Thank you for everyone who has helped me so far. You guys are amazing. Pray and hope for the best as I take my first steps.

Love you all,

Aaron

  2. Um... Don't you spell your name with two R's as opposed to two A's.

  3. Did you make it to the top of the highest hill in Oregon w/out getting blown away? Wow was it windy today.

  4. Mark Twain once said “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
    Godspeed, Baby!

  5. Hey guys, thanks for the sweet comments.

    Leslie,

No I did not dip my toes in the ocean (I was under strict orders to keep my feet dry:)I would have had to walk about 10 miles west into the wind which was pretty bad down here too:

IT was hard enough to begin without facing that task. But it was not enough to keep me off of the hill. I reached the top before noon and had my lunch about halfway down.

    Hoz,

Don't you have bigger problems than trying to decide how many 'R's should be in my name... Like making sure my helmut is on straight... I think it is.

    Bug,

I love your quotes. You must be searching all day long to find these gems. Keep it up if you can!
